Publications
FNAI works to make the results of our work available to support, not only the conservation decisions of agencies who fund it, but also the scientific community and the public interest. Below is a selection of recent reports and publications that we feel show the breadth of our capabilities. Please contact us if you would like a copy of a report not listed.
Atlas of Florida's Natural Heritage
FNAI is proud to have published this Award winning atlas of Florida's biodiversity. For more information, see our Atlas page.
Guide to the Natural Communities of Florida - 2010 Edition
This Guide presents FNAI's standardized classification of Florida's Natural Communities. For more information, see our Natural Community Guide page.
Field Guides
FNAI Field Guide accounts for rare species (previously published in binder format) are now accessible through our tracking list search. These accounts present detailed descriptions, photographs, drawings, maps, habitat information, and management guidelines for more than 200 rare plant species and 150 rare animal species. The Florida Department of Transportation provided initial funding for this work. We have updated most of the original accounts and added many more with funding from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the US Forest Service.
