Description

Limpograss is a perennial grass that forms dense mats from creeping rhizomes. The inflorescences are diminutive and inconspicuous. The grass can have a red coloration on blade tips.

Habitat

Alongside permanent streams, swamps, canals, irrigation ditches, flatwoods and other wet areas.

Comments

Planted as a forage for cattle.
