Description
Perennial, rhizomatous, aquatic herb. Leaves basal and glabrous, ovate, 3-9 cm long, upper surface green to brown and sometimes marbled, lower surface red to brown, veins usually reddish. Flowers tiny and clustered on a 1-cm long spadix. Spathe, 4-12 cm long, greenish brown.
