To provide a GIS data layer showing lands acquired through the Florida Forever Program.
Florida Forever Acquisitions (layer name ff_acquired) is a polygon data layer for parcels that have been purchased using Florida Forever (FF) funding. This data layer is parcel-based and contains information pertaining to specific parcels that have been purchased with Florida Forever funds. Most of these parcels will also be incorporated into the Florida Natural Areas Inventory's Florida Managed Areas (FLMA) data layer, either as new managed areas (i.e., conservation lands) or additions to existing managed areas.

This GIS coverage was generated by the Florida Natural Areas Inventory (FNAI) using ArcGIS-ArcMap 10.3.1 . Source polygons were developed from various applications and converted to a shapefile. Non-spatial attribute data were edited using Microsoft Access and appended to the polygon data using ArcMap 10.3.1.

PAR_NAME = Parcel Name. The name of the parcel, as reported by either the managing agency or the Division of State Lands. The parcel name often includes the seller's name.

PRJ_NAME = Project Name. The name of the project of which the parcel is a part, as reported by either the purchasing agency or the Division of State Lands.

MA_NAME = Managed Area Name. The official name of the managed area (i.e., conservation land) of which the parcel is a part, as it appears in the FNAI FLMA data layer. If the parcel is a part of two different managed areas, the name of the second managed area is also included in this field. If the parcel has not yet been assigned to a managed area, the field is coded as "UNDETERMINED."

MA_ID = Managed Area ID. The code of the managed area in the FNAI FLMA data layer of which the parcel is a part. The code is a numeric identifier, designed by NatureServe, for use with the BIOTICS Tracker data management system. If the parcel is a part of two managed areas, the second managed area ID will also appear in this field in respective order to the managed area names in the MA_NAME field. If the parcel has yet to be assigned to a managed area, the field is coded as "N/A."

MACODE_BCD = Managed Area Code. The code of the managed area in the FNAI FLMA data layer of which the parcel is a part. The code is a unique alpha-numerical identifier, designed by the Nature Conservancy, for use with the BCD data management system. If the parcel is a part of two managed areas, the second managed area code will also appear in this field in respective order to the managed area names in the MA_NAME field. If the parcel has yet to be assigned to a managed area, the field is coded as "N/A."
