Help FNAI advance conservation in Florida
The Florida Natural Areas Inventory (FNAI) is a trusted and comprehensive source for information and expertise on Florida's ecological resources. Since 1981, FNAI has provided independent, objective, scientific information to government agencies, private firms, conservation groups, researchers, and the general public. We work closely with policy makers and managers to inform conservation and land management decisions. FNAI staff include some of the foremost experts in the state across many conservation disciplines: botany, zoology, community ecology, conservation planning, geographic information systems, and data management. The program is small, agile, efficient, and highly influential. FNAI is administered by Florida State University (FSU) and is recognized as a leading member of the NatureServe Natural Heritage international network.
Because FNAI is almost entirely funded by contracts and receives no funding from FSU, gifts are especially valuable to help support important work for which we do not have a specific contract to support. Tax-deductible donations can be made to FNAI through FSU. Checks should be made out to the FSU Foundation-FNAI and mailed to:
Or you may contact Dan Hipes, FNAI director, at (850) 224-8207 x213 or email for more information.
Your contribution will help fund FNAI's core mission to collect, interpret, and share ecological information critical to the conservation of Florida's precious natural heritage.
Thank you for your support.
