This web page will provide links to data of relevance to residents and visitors to the 7-county ARROW region surrounding the Apalachicola River and its basin. The data are of two types:
- primary data sets (e.g., geographic information system (GIS) shapefiles) that will require manipulation by the user and perhaps sophisticated software as well in order to further process and customize the data. Most of these data sets are the same data sets that are used by local, regional, state, or federal planners in their land use decision making process for the seven counties in the ARROW region
- finished map and table products that are suitable for use "as is" without the need for further manipulations by the user. Examples are recreational maps and county-wide overview maps. These products are usually in a .jpg or .pdf format. While these finished products may have been derived from the primary data sets, these finished products cannot easily be modified or used for further analyses after user download. However, users of this ARROW web site can perform some data manipulations and map customization using many of the primary data sets through the Tools section of this web site.
